New Process Cork Company (NP)

No. 68 35th Street, Brooklyn, NY. Company established 1912 and began making composition cork backed crowns in 1915. Sign #1 used from 1920 until about 1923 in 5:00 position (same sign in same position used on Western Stopper crowns from 1931-1934; familiarity with years of design usage is necessary to distinguish them). Signs #2 and #3 used from about 1923 until merger with Crown Cork and Seal in 1927, but remained in use under the new ownership until 1934.
