| Address | 441 E. Jersey St. |

| | | | | Extra info | Established in 1886 by German immigrants Frank X. Boller and his wife, Ottilie Grimm. Starting out with both a saloon and a bottled mineral water business, they eventually moved to producing carbonated beverages in a variety of flavors.
Their son, Frank, graduated from Rutgers College in 1908 with a degree in organic chemistry and became president of the family business when his father died in 1918.
Some of the more fondly-recalled Boller flavors included creme, birch beer and black cherry, and numerous fans comment on how Boller ginger ale was a staple in most homes as a beverage for children or for mixing in drinks.
Boller went out of business sometime after 1993, and the factory does not appear to have been taken over by any other concern. |
