In 1989, Spendrups had reached its production ceiling in Grängesberg. Since much of the beer produced in Grängesberg was transported through the forests of Dalarna County to Stockholm, the company searched for a facility close to the capital city. Accordingly, Spendrups Brewery acquired Wårby Bryggeri from Kooperativa Förbundet (KF). |
