In the early nineteenth century, amid the mountainous landscape, "Villa de la Concepción de Minas" was founded with the contribution of 41 families from Galicia and Asturias. 12 kms from the town, in a hidden place in the Sierra de la Pate, the "Fuente del Puma" permanently arose with a wealth of clear water.
In February 1892, a visionary Don Santiago Zeballos acquired 62 blocks in the field to exploit the existing water source. The company began as a predecessor of the firm today and was called "Fuentes de la Coronilla”, headed by Mr. Luis Andreoni. The clear water thought to have healing powers and was first distributed to pharmacies and drugstores
In 1902. the Salus brand was created and in 1907, the company installed modern machinery for packaging Agua Mineral Salus. In 1929, always with the spirit to innovate, Cia. Salus launched the prestigious Salus Citral and Pomelito Salus to market.
In 1951, due to the growing demand of Salus products, there was an expansion of facilities and plant buildings which resulted in an improvement of the bottled water production.
