| | | | | | | | Extra info | The brewery was originally two competing breweries: Hvidtølsbryggeriet Urban founded in 1860 by Chr. W. Christensen and Bajerskølbryggeriet Limfjord founded in 1880 .
They were both located by the beach down to the fjord , centrally located in Aalborg . Urban lay on the beach At 11, just off the street , and the fjord lay on the beach At the 213th.
In 1889 they were merged with the name, Aalborg Aktie-Bryggerier.
The years that followed were good and profitable, but during the first World War, the brewery experienced declining sales and deliveries.
In 1976, it became part of Jyske Bryggerier, along with Ceres in Aarhus and Thor in Randers . The brewery was closed in 1986 and the premises are now used as offices by the nickname Urban Park . Urban is now part of Royal Unibrew A / S (until 2005 : Brewery Group). |
