Table water, vichy and soda water, sugar-drinking, Christmas and Easter mousse were made there. In 1942 the factory was sold to the Swedish Consumption Association.
At the beginning of the 1950s, the factory began to become too cramped, in spite of many additions and additions, and a new factory plant began to be built in the present place in the late 1950s and was the first brand new brewery in Sweden since the 1880s. Ownership was transferred to the Cooperative Association (KF). The name Wårby Hälsobrunn AB was changed to AB Wårby Bryggerier.
In 1952 the Gnesta Bryggeri was sold and became part of the AB Wårby Bryggerier .
In 1957 Wårby decided to expand the business in Gnesta.
Already in 1963, five years after the expansion of operations, the Cooperative Association decided to shut down production in Gnesta. The company concentrated its activities on new premises in Wårby.
The brewery buildings were subsequently rented out to various activities, but the ownership was retained by Wårby. In 1989 KF Wårby sold breweries to Spendrups , and the Gnesta Bryggeri was included the purchase. |
