| | | Extra info | The company was founded in Rionero in Vulture , in the province of Potenza , in 1890 , when an Italian-French company started its exploitation. It was mentioned in the ' Universal Exposition of Turin in 1892 with the name " Sorgente di Monticchio ", toponym of the town where it stands.
In 1906 a research program was established that allowed it to be presented at the universal exposition in Milan in 1910 , together with five other mineral waters , each with different therapeutic properties. Currently its headquarters are in Melfi , although in Rionero (including its fraction Monticchio ) continue to be carried out the extraction.
In late autumn 2010, the Lecco-based company Norda , in a policy of expansion in the southern Italian market, acquires Monticchio Gaudianello SpA from Acque Minerali Riunite SpA , wholly owned by Efibanca |
