| | | | | Extra info | Italian brewing company, based in Forst, a municipal subdivision of Lagundo near Merano. The brewery was founded in 1857 by two entrepreneurs, Johann Wallnöfer and Franz Tappeiner, from Merano. Later in 1863, the company passed to the entrepreneur Josef Fuchs, who enlarged the plant in Forst. In 1948 , Forst spa signed a contract with the Sicilian brothers Andrea and Francesco Vesco, who would ensure the creation of the Sicilian Food Products Production Center (CISPA) in Palermo, the exclusive for bottling and supply of Forst beer throughout the Sicilian territory.
Many of the crowns and labels have Merano (not Forst or Lagundo) as the location. |
