Tatuzinho is a brand that has surpassed the century. Founded in 1910 by the Italian immigrant Paschoal D'Abronzo, it had its name spread by his son Humberto D'Abronzo who sold the business in the early 1970s to the group 3 Fazendas, located in Rio Claro, which still produces the caninha today.
Caninha Tatuzinho was created in 1950 by the D'Ambrozo family in Piracicaba, in the state of
São Paulo. This brand became quite popular during the period, being widespread throughout the territory national. The brand even had jargon like: Ai tatu, tatuzinho (Oh armadillo), open the bottle for me and give it a little. Tere have been found, advertisements for the drink from the 1960s. In the Almirante Collection, there are two examples of Caninha Tatuzinho, one being older and the other more recent, according to the registration bodies. The oldest label (1950s) features "D'Ambrozo & Companhia" LTDA" and the most recent (1960s) brings the "Tatuzinho Sociedade Anônima. |
