The Jacquesson family established a Champagne House over 8 km of cellars between 1802 and the middle of the 19th Century. It becomes one of the five largest Champagne Houses on the market under the July Monarchy.
The Société de Brasserie Franco-Viennoise bought the domain from the Jacquesson family in Châlons en Champagne in 1882.
After the takeover, the company name became Brasserie de la Comète.
The Société de Brasserie Franco-Viennoise strongly modernized the factory after the First World War.
Brasserie de La Comète became Pfender et Cie, then Brasserie de l'Etoile, and in 1969, Union de Brasseries. It merged in 1986 with Pelforth and Albra to become La Francaise de Brasserie and was was bought in 1988 by Heineken

SLAVIA beer was made there unti 1987.
