In 1930, Mineralvandfabrikken Union was incorporated into the firm.
The food investment started in 1953 through the takeover of Oplandske Konservesfabrikk in Brumunddal (fruit and vegetables). This was merged in 1970 with Tønsberg Bryggeri's cannery to the subsidiary Nora-Sunrose Konservesfabrikker, which further took over the cured meat producer Ringstad in Stranda on Sunnmøre in 1973.

In 1989, Nora co-founded the telecommunications company NetCom .

In 1984, Nora's food area entered into a collaboration with a similar company in Borregaard ( Stabburet ) through the company Stabburet Nora, and in 1991 the entire Nora Industrier was merged with Orkla Borregaard to form Orkla ASA . Nora's food products here became part of Stabburet, where Nora is still a well-known brand for juices, juices, jams, vegetables and desserts.
