| | | | | Extra info | Red Top Bottling Co. was incorporated in 1909 by T.S. McNeil and others amd was on 10th Street. In 1914, T.S. McNeil and A.E. Spainhour were listed as owneres of the company. By 1915, the bottling of Coca-Cola was added to the Red Top Ginger Ale already being bottled. It was reincorporated as the North Wilkesboro Coca-Cola Bottling Co. in 1919. A new plant opened on N.C. 268 East in North Wilkesboro in 1954, but was closed after the Western Carolina Coca-Cola Bottling Co. bought the business in 1985.
Also had operation in Elkin. NC
The Elkin Bottling Company was downtown Elkin NC in the late 1800's to the early 1900's. It was owned by Claude A McNeil Sr. |
