| | | | | | | | Extra info | The Floto brewery, known as "Cervecería Alemana " was founded in 1867 by German immigrant Henry Frederick Floto. The brewery was started in La Serena, a city in the Coquimbo Region in northern Chile.
In 1883, it passed to Henry's eldest son, Federico and was renamed Adolfo Floto y Cía. Ltda. The second son of Federico, Juan Adolfo Floto Klix, acquired ownership of the factory, calling it the Cervecería Chilena. . In 1950, the company was sold to the CCU (Compañía de Cervecerías Unidas). |
