Extra info February 1928 - the brewery El Alcazar is established in the city of Jaen.
The company was born from the partnership formed by Puga brothers, owners of the brewery "The Lizard" (founded by Thomas Cobos Barona) and an association of Andalusian Licoristas.
1930 .- The company begins a slight expansion in neighboring cities consistent in warehouses for distribution of its thereby enhancing the supply and consumption of beer product.

1980, 1981.- The company uk Courage is an important participation of shareholders in the company again he sold the company from 1984 to 1985.
In 1985 it was absorbed by the Seville brewer La Cruz del Campo SA (Cruzcampo). Following the entry of Cruzcampo, the factory is expanded in order to increase production.
In 1991, the group Cruzcampo is purchased by the brewer Guinness amounting to 98,000 million pesetas, and in 2001 Guinness decides to sell the Seville group to Heineken by 138,000 million pesetas.
In 2007 Heineken was forced to sell the brand Alcázar by order of the Court of Protection of Competition of Spain (TDC). The new owner of the brand (not the factory) serious investment company Ibersuizas through its subsidiary Barlett Capital, after buy it for 10 million euros. Despite the sale, the production of this beer would carried out in the same jiennense factory. Heineken would take to market the Special Cruzcampo, produced in Jaen for all Spain , to fill the gap left by the Alcázar brand
