Brewer/bottler #5418 | | Name | Gaseosas Oderiz S.A. |
| | | | | | | | Extra info | In 1918, Félix Odériz and his father Serafin and his brother Gregorio founded Gaseosas Odériz at No. 32-34 Estafeta Street. Serafin died in 1922, the society knew different denominations (Widow of Odériz, Odériz Brothers, Widow and Children of Odériz, etc). In the 30s the widow dies, Ursula Belascoain and also her son Felix, staying in charge Gregorio Odériz who moved in the 40's Casco Viejo factory to No. 10 Sangüesa street, corner with Navarro Villoslada. In the mid-1950s he created the Kyns soft drink brand, which comes to compete with the powerful Vitoria Kas. In October 1958 he moved the factory to González Tablas. In 1963, Gregorio Odériz died and the construction of the factory on Guipúzcoa Avenue began, where they moved in 1965. At that time, the struggle and competition with La Casera to control the market is brutal. In 1968, both companies reached an agreement whereby Odériz would manufacture La Casera's products at the Guipúzcoa avenue plant, although Odériz continued to manufacture soft drinks and siphons under its own brands. Gaseosas Odériz S.A becomes CANASA (Carbónicas Navarras S.A.). The plant closed its doors in January 2005. With its closure, it put an end to a long business history of almost a century. |
