| | | | | | | | Extra info | Laboratorios Román S.A. is an enterprise based on Colombia. It's main office is in Cartagena.
The Kola Román is a Colombian soft drink that was invented in the city of Cartagena, Colombia in 1865 by Don Carlos Román. At the beginning it was similar to a champagne soda but then in the early 1900s it was reinvented by Don Henrique Pio Román. Original features were similar to those of a typical kola champagne and its consumption was not highly widespread in these years because people were not used to drinking this type of beverage, In the 1920s, the Kola Roman was already popular in the city of Cartagena, but the distribution was severely affected by the introduction of the "Kola Walter"" in the city market. To not allow the beverage business to suffer setbacks, Laboratorios Román S.A. decided to reinvent the formula and after three years of work, they managed to invent the formula currently used and recognized nationally. This formula remains intact since 1936, when it was first used. The Kola Roman is currently produced by INDEGA SA |
