Initially, it is specialized in the distribution of milk each cooperative delivered its bulk milk quota to the filing of Charenton (replaced in 1949 by a factory in Noisy-le-Sec and in 1955 by another in Ivry sur-Seine) which provided distribution to customers creamers.
The CLCP was also responsible for finding new customers (competition with SAFR). From 1952, she has also turned to producing fresh and yoghurt. It joined the "mark of broadcasting company" SODIMA (future SODIAAL) in 1964, but it is not part of the founding unions. It ceased operations in 1986.
On 25 September 1965 the member cooperatives to SODIMA decide to give up their own brands and create Yoplait, common national brand for fresh products, so yogurt.
Note that YOPLAIT is the contraction of YOLA brand UCLAM (Le Mans) and COPLAIT brand CLCP ...
the marks of the CLCP: COOPELAIT in 1952 COPELAIT (1960-1963), COPLAIT from 1963 to 1965-1966.
