Brewer/bottler #8555 | | | | | | | | | | Extra info | The Dalla Valle family, with great-grandfather Stefano and his wife Maddalena Paternoster, start their activity (tavern and mill) in the Casa del Beato Mario Omodei in 1880.
From 1880 to today , the Enoteca Dalla Valle offers wines that are linked to the land in which they live: the Valtellina.
The cellars of the old Casa del Beato Mario Omodei (which appeared to Our Lady in 1504), owned by the family, were already used to preserve the Valtellina wines and their own cured meats. The bottles of wine produced in this valley are therefore accepted within the walls of the Enoteca wine cellars.
Starting in 1920 , Stefano's son, Aldo, started the wine trade, above all in Valtellina, and even managed to bottle Sassella and a red wine from Valtellina under his own name. In those years the cellar had a capacity of 250 hl in cement tanks and 100 hl in oak barrels.
In the period between the 50s and 70s the bottling of Valtellina wines ceased to expand the warehouses to concentrate the activity in particular in the trade of wines, liqueurs, beer and sparkling waters. |
