Brewer/bottler #9747 | | | | | | Country | Soviet Union (former) |
| | | | Extra info | The brewery was founded by the Bavarian brewer Joachim Dauderi in 1865 under the name Waldschlößchen (Forest Castle), at a time when German-speaking Riga was one of most important industrial cities in the Russian empire.
In 1937 the brewery was renamed Aldaris.
In 1940, Aldaris brewed 8 million liters of beer; however, over the following years an uncertain political climate disrupted this output.
In 1976, Aldaris merged with breweries Varpas, Ilguciema and and Riga brewery No 3 under one name: Ražošanas Apvieniba Aldaris.
Upon the restoration of Latvian independence in the early 90s, Aldaris was acquired by Carlsberg. |
