Aerts Speciale ?? - ??
Brewery Aerts was founded in 1897 and remained a pure family business until 1979. At that time. it was taken over by brewery Haacht. Haacht however at first continued brewing Speciale Aerts in the Aerts brewery in Sint-Joost-ten-Node (in French Saint-Josse-ten-Node). It was only in 1982 that real brewing in brewery Aerts was ended. At that time corklined caps had already disappeared completely. Haacht, being now the owner of the Aerts brands, did not continue brewing these beers in its own brewery. It entrusted brewing to Palm Breweries, with which it had good contacts. Palm brewed the beers, but it was not the owner of the brands nor did it the distribution or commercialisation. |
